David Haisell is a pioneer of the Canadian UFO investigations that began in the years '70. He published a few years an international UFO Journal. He is also the founder of the now well-known Canadian UFO Survival (now led by Chris Rutkowski) who collects UFO Statistics Canada every year since 1989. In 2014, M. “(…) En effet, the phenomenon itself sometimes seems to parallel a path to the typical characteristics of the current state of technological capabilities of the era in which it is observed. The strange behavior reported “Ship air” the early nineteenth century is an example. The book of Dr. Vallée, Passport to Magonia, is a “must-read” for all serious UFO investigators. Another researcher and author, John Keel, also investigated cases with bizarre overtones, which leads him to speculate that we can be the victims of a cosmic joke, cruel and entities involved, he calls them “ultraterrestres”, can laugh at our expense.

In addition, in his famous book Book of the Damned, Charles Fort spent twenty-six years of his life collecting reports, among other things, rain frog, of blood, disappearances and poltergeist phenomena, concluding only that human beings are simply property to greater intelligence.

In his book, The Invisible College, Valley offers on page two, as UFO sightings and related events are manifestations of a control system “which can be used to stabilize the relationship between awareness of human needs and advanced complexities of the world that must include“.

So, our investigations today can not afford to limit yourself to these reported cases that seem to correspond to “visitors from other planets”, because it amounts to a conclusion before considering other possibilities. Eliminating case “high strangeness” because they have no meaning for us is equivalent to, using an idiom “throw the baby out with the bath water”. Thus, we are obliged as investigators, only speculate about the nature of UFOs and related phenomena. At the risk of being reminded that speculation is not a fact, however we have no alternative. The speculation, if it is used as an iterative process, can eventually lead to the revelation of the truth, but to do so, it must not be allowed to contribute to the formulation through the speculator.

In countless UFO investigations, bias have been developed to the unfortunate exclusion of evidence which would have ignored previous assumptions. We are always faced with the decision of either, reject the details reported because they do not agree with what is expected of an event; perhaps by categorizing the witness as incompetent, wrong, or worse; or accept the details as reported and thus be forced to change the previously formulated concepts of what could be expected of future events. These are often arbitrary decisions consciously or unconsciously taken by the percipient, the investigator, analyst, and the journalist that reflect the current state of the study of Ufology, namely that it is confusing. And sad to say, Armstrong family's experience is unfortunately adds to the confusion.

After the revelation of events that have been experienced by Gerry Armstrong missing during his time as a child of twelve years during his regression sessions, I was faced with a decision, how to the publication of this new information. Rather than writing a new book just after the publication of Seven missing hours, I decided to start publishing a quarterly magazine which I named UFO Journal. Alongside this, I also set up an organization called U.P. Investigations Research Inc., where the U.P. stands for non Phenomena Identified. One of its main objectives was to acquaint the public in the field of UFO research.

The first UFO issue of the Journal included an article entitled Seven revealed missing Hours, which contained transcripts of two regressive hypnosis sessions Gerry Armstrong. The second issue included another article, Seven analyzed missing Hours, which featured a discussion on the transcripts of a view of what we knew at the time of regressive hypnosis and its use in Ufology, and in light of what happened in the light of several similar cases in some aspects to that of Gerry Armstrong. The newspaper was a gratifying success, and gained international recognition, so much so that I was finally invited to a presentation in England BUFORA (British UFO Research Association) and UFO Study Group of the British House of Lords 1981. The theme of the presentation was Ufology in Canada: Past, Present and Future.

Unfortunately, financial considerations eventually intervened and after two years, I was forced to cease publication of the UFO Journal. In addition, because of other responsibilities that require much of my spare time, I had to severely limit the extent to which I could meddle in the active search for UFOs and related phenomena. Consequently, Research Surveys U.P. Inc. also closed.

Then, several years later, the publishing company that had produced my first book also closed and Seven Hours missing was not available on the market, other than the stores used books or other sources via Amazon. Finally, at the urging of several colleagues, I was convinced to republish the entire contents of my first book on Armstrong case, including regression analysis and transcripts, and the text of the presentations I gave in London, England 1981. This became available on Amazon since May 2014, in the form of a new book About control, which is the name of one of the chapters Seven missing Hours. For anyone interested, it is still available on Amazon.com.

In the years that followed, I maintained regular contact with the Armstrong family and early 2011, was saddened to learn that Gerry died late 2010 a serious illness. But I also learned that he had yet another “meeting” the 7 November 1986, which clarified in his mind what he had experienced as a child of twelve years, and explained, at least to his satisfaction, why he had been contacted first. At its first meeting, one of the details of regressive hypnosis sessions showed that he was not the only child. Actually, there were several boys and girls, present in what he described as a dome or a room in the UFO in which he was. Or, this second meeting, we finally told her why he and other children were chosen, namely, and I quote:

“Always remember that you have nothing special. You will have all the same task. How you handle it depends on each of you. There is a saying from their planet which said that the pen is mightier than the sword. This will be your commitment. You will become all the writers of truth… so go, my angels, and try your best to remind the human race glory and joy of our infinite and eternal universe. Go in love and light“.

And yes, Gerry began to write, and thanks to his wife, I acquired all of what he saw about what he said he learned from his first meeting, reinforced by this second experiment. The above quote comes from many pages I received. One more time, I was faced with a decision, know what to do with this new content. The answer soon became obvious, and seeds for my third book were sown. Entitled Control Factor, this is a work in progress which I think it will take at least another year to be completed. It will contain the full text of that Gerry wrote after his second meeting and, among other things, try to make sense of it all.

However, one of the challenges that I face writing this new book is to try to interpret Gerry experiences as part of what others “experiencers” reported being a victim. One such case involves a woman Midwestern United States called in the literature “Mme Keech”. It has been well documented in the book of Leon Festinger, When prophecy fails, and sent by Dr. Jacques Vallée in his book Dimensions (Ballantine Books, 1988, pages 218-223).

Similarities between Mrs. Keech and Gerry experiences include voluminous writing that she felt obliged to undertake in order to transmit the various messages she received from a source she identified as “Oldest brother”. However unlike Gerry, she started to tell people about the knowledge it accumulated, and as a result a small sect began to form in her community. Ironically, one of the leaders of this sect was a “Dr. Armstrong”.

Unfortunately, Mrs. Keech and many of his disciples, unlike the Armstrong family, gave their material life in the belief that they had a divine mission to accomplish. They began to preach, disciples gather, and finally predicted that amazing event happen, that many will lose most of their worldly possessions and they will be abandoned in their lives ragged and found themselves with nothing when the event does not happen. Mrs. Keech also visited various strange individuals, one of them demanded that she stop the dissemination of information that it claimed to be beneficial because “the time had not come”. Unfortunately, it seems that she and her supporters would have been just another example of what John Keel suggested as victims of a cruel cosmic joke.

Then, where are we with what was written by Gerry Armstrong? Without going into details here, the duration of the presentation does not allow the, I can sum up his feelings than he was commissioned to write was really intended for the benefit of humanity in order to emphasize the human species, and I quote, “why humans have lost touch with their individual souls, and why they can not understand us, the stage of development” The “us” to which it refers is here apparently those with whom he had contacts during his meetings. Gerry has carefully assembled all his thoughts in the form of what he called a universal Letter, which aimed to awaken humanity and to highlight what it has done wrong in the past few thousand years. It consists of four parts and a conclusion, was written and directed, and I quote again, “brothers and sisters beloved planet Clarion to tell you all my experiences in the reality of the planet known as Earth here“.

As is, This is confusing for at least two reasons. He was supposed to write to mankind, so why turn to “brothers and sisters of the planet Clarion“? and secondly, and even more significantly, the mere reference to a planet called Clarion raises further doubts.

In trying to make sense of what was revealed to him during his final touch of the experience 7 November 1986, and apparently; it was also said during his seven missing hours, twelve years old, but also told him that he would forget it until the time comes; we first considered some known astronomical facts relevant here. Before making, however, I must refer you to another aspect of the second meeting of Gerry which extended over what we told him and other children at its first meeting, twelve years old. Gerry wrote that what he called a “being of pure light” told him and other children, and I quote again, “the soul within your human form previously resided in an entity of the planet Clarion, which orbits a star in the star cluster known as the Pleiades here. Your souls were sent to planet Earth to take human form to allow the continued evolution of the infinite creation“.

This seems to imply that the souls of Gerry and the other children who were with him were “transplantées”, for want of a better word, to live like human on planet Earth for a reason. Putting aside for the moment what could be heard by “the continuing evolution of the infinite creation“, we look in more detail the alleged Clarion planet and the star system of the Pleiades. Both have played recurring roles in the literature of the phenomenon contacted in recent decades.

For example, Italian Maurizio contacted name in his book In addition to Heaven (Beyond Heaven), describes his encounters with aliens suspected of human appearance who claimed to come from a planet, also called Clarion, in the constellation Aquila. Several others contacted also refer to conversations with planets beings of the same name but other parts of the galaxy. One may wonder why “Clarion” is a popular name and why he keeps coming in a multitude of close encounters “seemingly unrelated”. Unless of course they all belong to this controlling factor “esoteric” applied to the human race. Or, as John Keel speculated, are the subject of a cruel cosmic joke being on humanity.

The Pleiades have an even larger story, dating from the gods of Greek mythology. But first, let's take a look at what astronomers tell us what they have learned about the Pleiades. Sometimes called the Seven Sisters, Pleiades is a cluster of stars located in the constellation Taurus composed of hot young stars through age Type B. Because of their proximity to the earth, about 400 light years, some of the stars of the Pleiades are visible to the naked eye, brightest, called Alcyone, having a magnitude of 2,86. The estimates of the ages of the stars in this category range from 100 to 150 million years.

Galileo was the first astronomer to observe the cluster through a telescope, discovering that it is composed of many stars too small to be seen with the naked eye. It is now estimated that there are over a thousand stars of various types included in the cluster. Besides the already mentioned blue stars, there are also binary stars and what are called brown dwarfs included in the mix. But none of these stars, given their types and ages, is apparently not conducive to the formation of planets. The only possible exceptions identified to date in the cluster are known as HD 23514 and BD +20 307, both of which have a mass and luminosity a bit larger than our Sun.. An extraordinary number of hot dust particles was detected around these stars, some astronomers speculate it could indicate the possibility of a global training course. Further assume that the particles may be debris resulting from violent collisions planetary embryos which can optionally freeze forming planets full. But no other indication of planets around the stars of this cluster was detected, certainly none that would indicate the possibility of supporting intelligent life.

Yet, as is the case with Clarion, there are many other references in the literature on UFO contacted with beings from different planets circling stars in the Pleiades came to Earth with a variety of messages for humanity. Such well-documented case concerns a Swiss contacted Billy Meier named, who has published many volumes describing his countless meetings with aliens from different planets of the heap. His first contact was with an extraterrestrial humanoid woman called herself Samjese. One more time, the bulk of the overall contact seems to be centered around the awakening of humanity about what she did wrong in the past centuries to help them achieve a higher level of spiritual awareness.

Another point to note about the second meeting of Gerry is the final directive that was given to him and other young children, and even, I quote what he wrote, “Your task will not be easy“, they did they say. “Try to keep the origin of the source of your inner light for you when it will be revealed. However, this decision rests with each and every one of you, because you have free will to carry out your tasks based on your own observations of their global development… always try to remember that you are not special. You will have all the same task. How you apprehend the thing will be individual“.

We also told them “no contact will be made before the time comes. And no names will be mentioned, not even a human soul“, although it was not clear if “no contact” was contact between children and their leader, or between children themselves while they perform their “earthly tasks”.

Coincidently, or perhaps more accurately it was a synchronicity, shortly after my first book was published, I received a letter from a reader concerned to contact Armstrong. It was a woman three years younger than Gerry and what she wrote might suggest that it may indeed have been one of those other children of the first meeting. If yes, she might have thought “was time” for contact therebetween, but Gerry has not entered contact for reasons known only to himself. Perhaps he felt that it was not the right time, and wanted to preserve the anonymity of the family.

However, in the interest of comparing their historical, I have included here some excerpts from what the lady wrote in her letter to me. Just to clarify, the author of the letter had only read the original book, Seven missing Hours, which did not contain details of Gerry regression sessions, who had not yet been completed at the time of publication 1978:

“It was not by chance that I came to get me your book "The Seven Missing Hours". I now volunteer for your help in understanding the anonymous Armstrong.

The facts I have provided about my life serve as proof of the importance of contact and my trust in you to help me contact.

I purposely left out a lot about my life because I do not try to impress you, just trying to make you understand that I am not in search of glory and it's important that I shall deliver my message I received from an alien. I just want to take these messages to Armstrong, as this can help to fill many gaps and help us to continue.

I pray that all is well and that you can help me to contact them. I have kept silent for years and the time is fast approaching when I will tell all. Now is the time to do it. I feel I can move, or change direction soon, but I have to try to finish things first”.

This sounds like someone who felt she had an important task and yet there was no indication why she felt that the time was soon to come “tell all” or what she had to say, or what things she had to complete before “with his life”. The following are some of the points it wants to pass:

1. “Child, I was aware of the spaceship, and an interest in other planets and aliens.
2. I always felt that I should be able to fly with my own wings.
3. Child, I expected a spaceship back to Earth for me and take me home.
4. I felt that my house was not on this earth and that my parents were not land my natural parents.
5. I dreamed of extraterrestrial beings, other worlds and space travel and that made me sad and lonely, sometimes because I do not feel in my place.
6. One day, when I was twelve years old (the same age as Gerry when he had his first “meeting”), I had a visit of a beautiful lady in the woods. I was busy watching birds and felt compelled to look over my shoulder after having felt a presence beside me. It was in a clearing, a beautiful light with a lady standing inside. I guess I was driven by his presence. It was like I was hypnotized because I've never really remembered things she said to me, except in bits and pieces over the years. She told me many things; who I really am, what I should do and throughout my life, I would be guided and taught. I do not recall having spoken but she told me about some form of mental telepathy. I kept this secret beautiful for me for many years.

I'm happily married, with a son and a daughter, and I became well-known in this because of my involvement community in many areas, Political volunteering. While in the outside world, I do not seem to be different from someone else, it was necessary to keep a lot of hidden things. I have no fear. My only thoughts are now helping others who kept silent for so long to find”.

Unfortunately, she died a year before Gerry without ever having had the opportunity to make contact with Armstrong.

Then, where all this leads us? The expressions “the time has come” and “the time is not conducive” occur repeatedly in many works written contactees. All it involves is difficult to assess. In his Universal letter, Gerry Armstrong had much to say about our concept of time.

Included in what he said, and I quote again, “when the time is right, the observation group trying to bring through direct and indirect methods to enlighten men about the fact that their souls are not attached to one world like moth to a flame. So many times, they tried to explain the infinite creative men, explaining that there is no anywhere in three-dimensional universe limitations that prevents incarnation in the upper worlds. No apart the limits of their own thoughts, that no other soul can not change. My friends Clarion, this civilization (earth) may be at an end“.

This obviously implies that Gerry thinks that a catastrophic event is about to happen, but a group (the “observation group”, controlling factor?) decide when it will happen. One more time, we see a parallel here with the proclamations contacted other groups. But what is the real source of these “thoughts” which contacted feel compelled to spread to the rest of humanity? We now recognize that most of the points made in its Universal Gerry Letter echo of what he recorded several years earlier in his automatic writing, as related in my first book. The debate continues as to the source of the automatic writing sessions, She is the author's subconscious thoughts or other entity acting through him?

So we are forced to ask precisely who or what controls everything? Is it automatic writing is just another example of John Keel speculation that we are the victims of the ideas of some entity of a cruel joke? All that is the source of what I call the control factor “esoteric”? Eh bien, the surprising answer to this question can indeed be: “You are”.

consider this. You have the power to control the way you think. And the thought seems to be the only form guarantor of reality. Perhaps Sir James Jeans was he on the right track when he speculated, long ago, that the universe could be a gigantic thought. The thought of that? Dare we say “your thoughts”?

Jeans wrote: “The flow of human knowledge is heading towards a non-mechanical reality. The universe begins to look more like a great thought rather than a great machine. The mind seems to be an accidental intruder into the realm of matter. We begin to suspect that we should recognize as the creator and governor of the kingdom” (Sir James Jeans, Mysterious Universe, 1930).
