Un stage universitaire de 85 heures au Garpan

Lorsque j’ai entrepris de faire un stage au département de Théologie et des Sciences des Religions de l’Université de Montréal, il m’est apparu intéressant d’identifier les nouvelles structures de la spiritualité contemporaine. Ce stage m’imposait une présence d’une durée d’un minimum de 85 heures dans un organisme pertinent. Grâce au travail et aux conférences de Bernard de Montréal[1], je fus en mesure d’appréhender conceptuellement l’ufologie dans son approche spirituelle. Richard Glenn, l’héritier du travail de Bernard, m’a permis d’approcher le GARPAN et j’ai pu dès lors commencer des investigations sur les phénomènes ufologiques. Après avoir gagné la complicité intellectuelle de Yann Vadnais, directeur et fondateur, j’ai commencé la lecture des nombreux travaux compilés par ce groupe (plusieurs livres, conférences, archives non-publiées) et la transcription de verbatim d’investigations récentes. J’ai pu avoir accès aux dossiers confidentiels de témoins (sous cautionnement de signer une « entente de confidentialité ») et apporter, entre mai et août 2015, une contribution à tous ces dossiers :
- Observation d’un grand triangle noir à Saint-Rémi (Montérégie), le 20 septembre 2010 : témoignage vidéo du témoin et de sa femme (témoin indirecte).
- Expérience RR5 (rencontre rapprochée de 5ème type) post-traumatique par un témoin ayant vu un ovni, caractérisée par une spiritualité symptomatique de l’expérience spirituelle ufologique : témoignage vidéo et documents visuels et musicaux, datant de 2011.
- Témoignages de divers ovnis aperçus par un sexagénaire de la Gaspésie durant les trois dernières décennies : résumé concernant un triangle noir émettant un clignotement bleu, des lumières se transformant et passant au rouge orangé, une autre agissant comme un stroboscope.
- Témoignage colligé dans le Petit journal, en date du 15 août 1971, à propos de Robert Leclerc, un contacté par des êtres provenant, selon lui, d’une galaxie voisine : transcription du document, recherche hydrographique concernant la localisation de lacs au Québec.
- Prise de témoignage auprès d’un témoin de la Montérégie racontant une expérience RR5 de l’apparition d’un humanoïde malveillant (blessure à long terme du témoin), dont l’énergie émise aurait brisé une télévision et un lecteur vidéo : accompagnement par l’investigatrice Julie Bélanger.
En parallèle à ce travail pour le GARPAN, il m’a été nécessaire de me construire un cadre d’analyse des expériences spirituelles dans l’ufologie. En m’inspirant de la « taxonomie de l’expérience spirituelle » établit par D. Wardell et J. Endgebretson (2006) ainsi que du modèle sémiologique de J.-B. Renard (1994), j’ai pu échafauder diverses hypothèses et les tester sur les données abondantes transmises par le GARPAN, tout en dialoguant avec les membres du « groupe d’assistance et de recherche » des interprétations que nous pouvions en tirer. Pour certains témoins d’expériences insolites, parler de ces événements constitue parfois un aveu difficile, et bien souvent une lourde confidence dont ils sont soulagés de finalement confier à une personne attentive. Ces gens ont vécu des événements marquants et ont le courage d’en parler. Ils méritent à cet égard une écoute respectueuse et une ouverture d’esprit conséquente.
Bien qu’il y existe que très peu d’ethnographies sur le phénomène ovni et encore moins d’études[2] sur l’ufologie en tant que chaire de savoir, dans cet espace épistémologique encore « à l’état sauvage » j’ai eu la chance et l’opportunité de développer un cadre réflexif propre aux phénomènes de la spiritualité en ufologie de témoignage. De la même façon que les ethnologues de la colonisation étudiaient pour la première fois des structures sociales dès lors totalement inconnues pour les sociétés modernes, j’ai amorcé une étude sur l’ufologie et commencé l’élaboration d’une méthodologie de l’investigation en ufologie. J’ai découvert que des expériences dites ufologiques de rencontres rapprochées conventionnelles peuvent susciter des changements profonds même si elles ne sont pas des éveils spirituels, elles sont considérées à ce moment-là comme des éveils ou des modifications de conscience. À partir de ce stade, certains individus peuvent se poser d’importantes questions sur la version officielle de la réalité…
Ce stage de 85 heures au GARPAN m’a fait réaliser à quel point il existe des domaines de la connaissance qui ne sont pas reconnus (les phénomènes « paranormaux », « métapsychiques », « ufologiques », etc.) et qui pourtant se prêtent aisément et efficacement à l’application des méthodologies développées par les sciences humaines en générale. C’est-à-dire du bon usage des principes de la scientificité appliqués aux domaines des sciences sociales et psychologiques, puisqu’en ufologie, les matériaux de base sont des témoignages.
